NatureLore’s various programmes and adventures have been designed to bring quest, mentorship and challenge back into our lives. We have a range of offerings and excursions for individuals as well as schools and organisations looking for an alternative to current educational paradigms.
School Camps
Multi-day immersive camps where learners build confidence, resilience and practical life skills through guided adventure, nature awareness and bush craft.
School Outings
Engaging day experiences that introduce learners to nature awareness, ancient skills and hands-on learning – designed to inspire curiosity, connection and wellbeing.
World Learning Hub
Extra Murals, Crafts and Courses
We offer an ever-changing range of extra-mural activities and courses for children and teens. From language courses like foundational isiXhosa and German through to traditional craft like Leatherwork, Woodwork and ancient Bush Skills. We also offer both League and Social Volleyball, the President’s Award, The Shakespeare School’s Festival, TEDEd and so much more. A full range for well-rounded individuals – all welcome!
World
Schooling
Call of the Wild and NatureLore Academy are our alternative primary and middle school learning centres for world schoolers and homeschoolers. We have a range of regular and pop-in groups and classes for ages 5 – 17 to get together, with nature-based, Waldorf-inspired main lessons, adventures and fun. An inspired space for challenge, child-led projects and incredible learning, all in a wholesome and soulful environment.
Alternative Education Gatherings
The main purpose of our activities is to get people into nature to have fun, adventure and create lasting memories. Our ongoing events – from our ‘Into the Wild’ nature immersions for teens, to workshops, outreach programmes, Parzival journeys and adult excursions – are all based on that ethos.
