After completing a Physics degree in Scotland, Rein went on to study Steiner Waldorf education at the University of Plymouth, specialising in Outdoor Education.

Rein first taught in the UK, before moving to South Africa to help establish Steiner schools in Hermanus, McGregor and Stellenbosch.

Seeing the deep need for reform in our educational paradigms, Rein inspires the guiding principles behind our initiative.  He also teaches our Academy group of teenagers various main lessons along with maths, physics, chemistry and craft. 

Ingrid started her career in advertising after obtaining a degree in English and a post-graduate diploma in Copywriting. After working at many of the county’s top advertising agencies, she started her own design agency and later a stationery design and wholesale company with a business partner.  But when her daughter started school, Ingrid chose to focus more and more on her love of nature, fun and children.

Today Ingrid and Rein manage the business side of NatureLore together, with Ingrid focussing on the admin, planning and organisation. 

Adam went through the Waldorf system as a pupil and later studied to become a Waldorf teacher at the CCE.

He then went on to teach at Michael Oak Waldorf School, initially as an assistant teacher in Class 1 and then as a general assistant to the whole primary school. In January 2022 he moved to NatureLore and his natural gifts and talents for teaching have been a real blessing for the children.

His love and passion for education have made him an inspiring team player and an integral part of our initiative. 

Eva was born and raised in Germany, where she completed her Waldorf teacher training and accompanied her first class from Grade 1 to 6.

In 2019 Eva moved to South Africa to teach at Constantia Waldorf School, where she remained until 2024 before taking off a year for maternity leave. After working with us on a part time basis, she officially joined our team in January 2026. 

After pioneering and working at the Starseed Academy in Muizenberg for 7 years, Katherine took some time off to travel and ended up leading the educational programme at a World Schooling Hub in Ardeche, France.

We have always wanted to work with Katherine and were excited when she agreed to take on our younger group of children starting in January 2026.

Tom has a long background in Applied Mathematics, having studied Statistics and Probability Theory at the University of Oslo.

His teaching experience is built through close one-on-one and small group work with students of various abilities and ambitions at the high school level – from those just needing to build confidence to those aiming for high academic achievement.
