The present state of the planet is one where every child needs to be prepared for the one certainty: change. Skills and values need to be developed to cope and to thrive in a society that is heading into unknown territory. Our existing, generally accepted education is based on a prototype to develop production-line citizens; those that will listen and are capable of obeying instructions, not those who will challenge old ideas and build new worlds.

NatureLore’s various educational initiatives are centered on the ideals of Waldorf Education as well as drawing on the principles and ideas of Wilderness Awareness School, Forest Schooling, sustainable and earth-conscious development and indigenous cultures.

Above all, it is about our connection to the earth, each other and our future. We believe we need to empower our children to feel hopeful about the world, to love nature and the environment around them so as to forge a new way of relating to our planet that is harmonious and respectful.
